The EMS Division under the ministry of Health sent seven nurses from seven hospitals in Bhutan to undergo training on Trauma and Critical Care at Kohn Kaen Trauma Center in Thailand –the WHO Collaborating Center for Safety Promotion and Injury Prevention.

For seven days, these nurses developed proficiency in the management of critically ill and acutely injured patients as well as the ability to triage patients in emergencies. This training is a part of the EMS Strategy Plan (2018-2023) and will contribute to the strengthening of the emergency medical services.
