These include readers, board games, and puzzles to promote culturally-focused snow leopard conservation for young students. The readers were written by Bhutanese teachers and will be released in both Dzongkha and English.

There will also be the unveiling of the first Bhutanese-focused textbook on high-altitude medicinal plants to help support the education of traditional medicine students in Bhutan.

Bhutan Foundation President, Dr. Bruce Bunting, will be stepping down as President after thirteen years of service this December 2019. Before joining the Bhutan Foundation, Bruce supported the establishment of the national park system, the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation, and WWF Bhutan and Nepal. Under Her Majesty’s guidance, Bruce helped strengthen and grow the Bhutan Foundation with a new board, programs, and an established network of global supporters.

In honor of Dr. Bunting’s commitment to conservation, the Board will announce the founding of the Bruce Bunting Environmental Conservation scholarship fund at CNR to support in-service foresters to receive a Bachelor in Science degree in Forestry.
